Help us protect our water supply now and in the future while still keeping your landscapes healthy. Follow these simple watering rules from May through October: 

• Water during cooler times of the day – lawn watering is NOT allowed between 10 am and 6 pm 

• Water no more than three days per week 

• Do not allow water to pool in gutters, streets, and alleys 

• Do not waste water by letting it spray onto concrete or asphalt surfaces 

• Repair leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks) 

• Do not irrigate while it’s raining or during days with high wind 

• Use a hose nozzle with a shut-off valve when washing your car 

TIPS:  

• Longer grass is more water efficient. Cool season grasses, like Kentucky bluegrass, should be kept between 2.5-3.5 inches and warm season grasses between 1-3 inches. Learn tips for healthy and water-efficient here!
